Chariho Financial Referendum
This referendum is a vote for residents of the towns of Hopkinton, Richmond, and Charlestown on whether to approve the annual budget for the Chariho Regional School District.
Date of vote: April 7, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Locations: Each town votes at its own town hall - the Richmond Town Hall is located at 5 Richmond Townhouse Road
Voters are being asked:
"Should the school district’s annual budget for the upcoming school year, as approved by the regional school committee, be accepted?"
A “YES” vote means you approve the proposed school budget.
A “NO” vote means you reject the proposed budget.
Purpose
The referendum determines whether the school district can move forward with its planned spending for the next school year. If the budget is rejected, the district may need to revise it and present a new proposal.
