The Building Code Board of Appeals shall hear appeals by aggrieved persons of any interpretation, order, requirement, direction, or failure to act under the state building code by the building official or any other official with the authority to administer or enforce the provisions of the building code, and shall have the authority to grant variances from the terms of the building code.
